Thanks to all of you who came out last month for the re-launch of the Social Media Club Dallas. We have a great speaker this month and it should be a great educational and social event. I will also have some great news to share about future speakers.

About our Speaker

Brad Mays of Fleishman-Hillard DallasBrad Mays @bradmays
Vice President Digital Media Strategy
Fleishman-Hillard
Dallas, Texas

Brad Mays has been with Fleishman-Hillard since March 2006. He has close to 15 years online marketing and communications experience having worked with early stage start-ups to Fortune 10 companies.

Today, Brad is a lead in Fleishman-Hillard’s 100-person Digital Practice Group. He is responsible for helping define industry best practices and agency guidelines for emerging online channels. With a heavy background in brand and reputation management, and online issues management, he is regularly called on to provide counsel on blogger relations and how to approach issues in social media.

His current primary responsibility is developing the online communications strategy for a large international telecommunications company – helping the company and each of its business units create a viable presence on the social Web. This work includes ongoing reputation management working with key industry bloggers, establishing processes and procedures to enable the client’s long-term social strategy and serving as part of a marketing innovation group tasked with finding new ways to use social media as a brand.

He regularly speaks at client and industry events, and convenes private group discussions with large brands to share knowledge and best practices.
