Social Media Showcase Dallas 2011

The Social Media Club of Dallas is pleased to announce the First Annual Social Media Showcase. The purpose of this event is to showcase local social media case studies of Dallas-based companies. Specifically, we want to see how our peers are implementing social media campaigns and the results they are achieving.
September marks the second anniversary of the re-launch of the Social Media Club in Dallas, and we’ve been fortunate to feature numerous consultants, authors, agencies and even corporate speakers. However, we know from your feedback at our events and in surveys that you also want to hear and see case studies from your peers you interact with at our regular meetings and in the Dallas area. That’s why we are taking submissions to be featured in our first ever event of this type.
Format
The Social Media Showcase will feature six presentations that are each 10 minutes long with a fixed slide format to facilitate comparison. Once all six presentations are complete, we’ll allow for 30 minutes of questions for all the presenters.
Who Should Attend
While the Social Media Showcase is open to the public, this event is ideal for anyone who wants to understand how social media can benefit a business or organization. More importantly, this event will provide real-world insights for those in an agency or in a corporate marketing role in order improve knowledge of what works in social media and how to apply best practices in the Dallas market. Each case study will provide insights and take-aways that apply to marketers at varying experience levels.
Judging Criteria
We want the showcase to be as balanced and transparent as possible, so all submissions will be judged on the following:
- Objectives, Strategy and Results: What were you trying to accomplish? What was the plan you implemented? What its impact to the business? While it’s important to include success indicators like web traffic, fans and follower growth, and other basic metrics, we also want to see how your campaign contributed to the bottom line, such as increase in revenue or cost reduction.
- Creativity: Did you leverage technology in a specially unique and creative way?
- Integration: How did your campaign integrate with and complement your organization’s overall marketing campaigns or approach?
- Timing: Your campaign must have been started and completed within the last 12 months.
- Completeness: Does your submission paint a complete picture of the campaign and include examples or supporting materials that clearly communicate the planning, execution, and impact of the campaign?
- Best Practices/Insights Provided: Does your entry include tips or best practices the campaign applied? Can the applicant provide insights for the audience to help them plan and execute social media campaigns for their company or organization?
